i curremty have a short scale bass guitar and looking for a 24 fret guitar.

The Ibanez man. Yamaha makes good classical instruments , not bass guitars trust me my friend bought a yamaha and he was disgusted.
If you have to choose one of the above, Ibanez all the way. For custom basses, check out JJ Helms or Warwick – Carl Thompson if you’re filthy rich. If you aren’t going to get a custom bass and want a factory model, I would suggest a Fender over either bass you listed..
