I’ve heard some people say that the guitar tone sounds very ‘digitalised’ after going through many line 6 products but never heard anything specific for the X3. Sometimes it receives excellent reviews sometimes terrible reviews on the internet and i was wondering what your opinions are on it. I personally have played a friends PocketPod extensively and i loved it! So i have been assuming that the X3 can only get better, but i want to make sure. Just to help would you mind stating what guitar and type of music you play to make sure it’s not just geared towards a certain type of player. I play a PRS SE EG with fully customised switching system (humbucker and single coil switching and fading ability) but if I’m honest im more of an american stratocaster guy given the time and money to buy one (proper PRS’s are simply to expensive for now haha) and i play anything from blues to classic rock and modern day rock. Thanks in advance.

no i dont think ANY lin 6 amps are good
if you want a real amp, its best to buy an all tube non modeling amp.
such as a fender hot rod deluxe or deville
really any fender tube amp actually
dont get solid state either (which line 6 are)
saty away from the marshall mgs, fender frontmans, line 6 and other solid state amps

Line 6 Products aren’t the best.

I actually own a pod 2.0, and I believe it produces pretty good sounds. I normally use it for recording but have used it live when a large, all tube amp is impractical. Seeing as I have played through many boutique amps such as Mesa Boogie Lonestars, I have something to compare it to. You obviously will not get the same feeling as when you play throght a £2000 amp, but it comes the closest to anything I know. I adore my Pod 2.0, it is simple to operate and tough enough for the road, so imagine the X3 is just bigger and better.

Merry Christmas!

This is my humble opinion. I used the Line 6 Effects Pod in our Guitar Center and it’s very good in my opinion. I personally loved the sound, but it was a little expensive for my taste.
